So I wrote this blog article before I went on holiday so even though it’s automatically set to upload today, I’m currently having a grand old time in the USA (or at least I hope so). Anyway don’t worry, that’s not what the exciting news is. The exciting news is that ADHD and Me is launching its very own monthly 15 minute podcast!
Why a podcast I hear you say? Well it just seemed like the natural next step to accompany my blog, but in true ADHD fashion I’ve decided to keep it short and sweet to benefit all our attention spans. I also think committing to anything beyond once a month when I’m first starting out on this new adventure and I’m out of my comfort zone with the technology being used might be a bit of a stretch.
Anyway its going to be called ‘The Mad Crazy 15-minute ADHD and Me Podcast’ and it’s going to be available on several podcast streaming platforms (I will post a linktree link here when it’s ready) and it launches beginning of October, all being well that is.
“I’m so exciting to be taking this next step with the blog as ADHD awareness is so important, hopefully it will be a different way of reaching people.”
ADHD Girl
So, what will be include in the podcast? Well despite the fact that my blog is called ADHD and Me, I’m hoping it’s not going to be just me at all, I’m hoping to have as many exciting and interesting guests as possible. I want to hear people’s thoughts on ADHD, the people who work with people with ADHD, the people who live with people with ADHD, ADHD experts and the people who have ADHD. Basically, in ADHD fashion I’m going to be making it up as I go along.
If you want to join me on this crazy adventure by featuring in my brand-new podcast then drop me a line at contact@adhdandme.org For my first episode I’m hoping to speak to people briefly about how they ended up being diagnosed and what it meant/ means to them. Don’t be shy, let’s educate the world about what it is to have ADHD.
On that note, I’ll leave it there ADHDers and allies. Just remember we don’t need every single person in the world to be on our side because some people never will be, we just need the right people to give us access to the support we need and the only way to do that is by raising awareness.
Till next time, have a good week (next week I’ll update you about my ADHD Disney adventures).
