Note: Apologies! This was scheuled to post almost two weeks ago but the website misfired on the scheduling. Only so much I can control!

Happy New Year ADHDer and Allies. I hope 2026 has been good to you all so far. I’ve hit the ground running because I’m currently pursuing a publishing format for my 6th novel, writing my 7th (sequel to the 6th), collaborating with an illustrator on my first venture into children’s books and if that’s not enough to contend with well I have some exciting things planned for ADHD and Me this coming year.

Firstly, the ADHD and Me podcast is no longer on hiatus. While I can’t lie and say I didn’t need that six-month break, I’m eager to get back to and boy do I have some exciting guests lined up for you guys. The first being a previous guest who proved popular when she talked about ADHD in the workplace. Yes, that’s right we’re chatting with Shell Mendelson again and she gives her take on how diversity, equality and inclusion laws are affecting things state side, along with how it’s affecting things over here. The episode launches on the 16th January and then we’re back to bringing you awesome ADHD guests once a month.

“There is a lot happening with ADHD and Me in 2026. I’m determined to grow it to it’s full potential!”

If that doesn’t whet your appetite for ADHD awareness, how about this. This year we’ll be launching some online courses that offer a more holistic approach to what ADHD is, than what’s currently available on the market. I can’t give you a date just yet, but I’m definitely working on it.
In the meantime, if you guys have any ideas for things you want to see on this platform or perhaps there’s an ADHD service you feel is lacking. Hit us up at contact@adhdandme.org and we’ll see what we can do.

Now I’ll try to keep this personal update short and sweet; Christmas day for me was hugely overwhelming to the point I think I came across as irritated, ungrateful and pretty unsociable to be honest. Don’t worry, I got a telling off from my mum, but I did explain my ADHD is getting worse with age, particularly the sensory processing part. There is just so much pressure on Christmas day to get it right, to act a certain way where you open gifts, to be jolly and cheerful the whole day through. Listen to me, I fear I’ve become a miserable old sod….at the grand old age of 37 mind.

If your anything like me getting back into the swing of things or getting back to reality, is a lot harder because it takes longer for our ADHD brains to sync with our body. Don’t worry we’ll get there, just be kind to yourself in the meantime.

“For us ADHDers, one small change in routine is all it takes to tip us from having a good day into a bad.”

Anyway, how was your guys Christmas? Are you raring to go for the new year, or has the weather and ADHD got you wanting to hide under your duvet? Both of those are perfectly valid, in case you’re wondering.

Catch you in two weeks’ time ADHDers and Allies. I’ll be talking about overthinking, emotional regulation and why it’s never ending cycle!!
